SA squad for Tri-Nations

A squad of 30 players were named today to carry the SA flag for the home leg of this year’s Tri Nations.
The squad consists of 16 forwards and 14 backs and there were no major surprises. Due to Enrico Januarie’s injury, the forgotten Springbok scrumhalf, Michael Claassens (Cheetahs), has been called up to deputise for Ruan Pienaar until Fourie du Preez is fit.
The squad is:
Forwards: John Smit (captain), Os du Randt, Guthro Steenkamp, BJ Botha, CJ van der Linde, Gary Botha, Victor Matfield, Bakkies Botha, Albert van den Berg, Johann Muller, Danie Rossouw, Pierre Spies, Bob Skinstad, Schalk Burger, Juan Smith and Pedrie Wannenburg.
Backs: Enrico Januarie (cover provided by Micheal Claassens), Fourie du Preez, Ruan Pienaar, Butch James, Derick Hougaard, Jean de Villiers, Jacques Fourie, Wynand Olivier, Waylon Murray, Ashwin Willemse, Akona Ndugane, JP Pietersen, Francois Steyn and Percy Montgomery.
With Januarie injured, Ruan Pienaar will finally start a test match at scrumhalf and SARB wishes him all the best.
It’s nice to see Bobby Skinstad back again. How long has Percy Montgomery been playing for?
Michael Claassens???? WTF???!! He didnt even play Super 14! Yeah Percy HAS been playing forever, I think its 9 years now?
Im glad Ruan will start !! Hopefully he has a blinder of a game so Januarie can be left behind and its Fourie with Ruan..

NO OTHER PLAYER HAS BEEN AS EAGERLY ANTICIPATED OR OVERRATED IN A LONG TIME ( wait what about luke just a few months ago the entire rugby population, besides the northern provence and jake white was up in arms because he was not chosen, or given a chance for the springbok jersey, now that he showed that his head actually is to big for the Springbok jersey, everybody I know has finally seen that Jake was right and everybody else didnt have a clue what was chilling.)
BUT JA SUCH IS LIFE, FROM HERO TO NOTHING IN A FEW FUMBLES, KNOCK-ONS AND CONCEDED PENALTIES.

the few years off really did do him good, he came back from overseas and everybody could not believe that he would do anygood to the sharks pack. but ja i’m glad that he should everybody that he can stil play good rugby.
hell i never thought i’d see the day in SA rugby where a ex springbok captain is fired, then returns and captains the side again. i wonder if i was the only person to see the differece in the springbok squad once Bob Skinstad took over as cpt. not only did the boks look like a better side.but it actually looks like bob skinstad can stil play rugby…
