Lions struggle against Boland
Published by Maverick August 12th, 2007 in Rugby, Currie Cup. Tags: No Tags. The Lions struggled to subdue Boland in Wellington on Saturday.
Both teams struggled in extremely wet and cold conditions that made running rugby almost impossible. Boland did impress with their handling skills in the wet and can feel satisfied with their performance. The Lions will not be happy with their performance but they did secure 4 points and moved to third position on the Currie Cup log.Lions captain, Ernst Joubert, had a storming game and the fact that he can not make the SA squad shows the depth SA have in the loose forward department. Final score: Lions 15 Boland 10.
