The Crusaders came out on top in a grudge match against the Bulls at Loftus. The Crusaders were in a class of their own and destroyed the defending champions with a fine display of running rugby.

The Bulls started the game realy well and after half an hour they were leading 12-0, but two lapses in their normally tight defence lead to 2 Crusaders tries in 9 minutes for the visitors to take the half time lead.

The second half was one way traffic for the Crusaders. The Bulls made to many basic errors and the ‘Saders were quick to exploit and spin the ball wide. They outscored the Bulls by 7 tries to 1 ans showed that they are serious contenders for the 2008 Super14 title. Final score: Crusaders 54 Bulls 19
