The Reds managed to snatch a late draw against the Lions at Ellispark. The Lions made all the early play and after an entertaining first half they were leading 3-0. The second half was a highly entertaining affair, with five tries being scored. The Lions looked like they had the game wrapped up, but a last charge by the Reds saw Chris Latham crash over next to the posts. The conversion was good and the Reds snatched a draw from the jaws of defeat. Final score: Lions 24 Reds 24
