Top of the log Crusaders were made to work really hard by a determined Reds team. The Crusaders took the early lead but the Reds fought back with 3 stunning tries and they were leading the game 21-8 with 20 minutes remaining. The Crusaders then brought on their star players of the bench, including Dan Carter. These substitutions made all the difference and the classy Crusaders came from behind to snatch victory. The Reds were their own worst enemy, having two players yellow carded in the final 20 minutes did not help.
