The Sharks kept their semi final hopes alive after a dramatic victory over the Cheetahs. The Sharks needed to gain a bonus point for scoring 4 tries or more, but with 2 minutes left on the clock it seemed unlikely that they would score the one try they needed. Then followed two of the most dramatic minutes of the 2008 Super14 competition with Odwa Ndugane scoring twice in those final minutes to secure the win and the bonus point! The Cheetahs can feel aggrieved, they did not deserve to lose in such a fashion since they dominated large parts of the game. Final score: Sharks 33 Cheetahs 14
