The Stormers did what they had to to beat the Lions in a tough game but failed to pick up a vital 4 try bonus point that would automatically have secured them a semi final spot. The Lions defended like Trojans and kept the Stormers at bay for most of the game. When the Stormers finally started to get the better of the home team it was all to little, to late. The Stormers outscored the Lions by 3 tries to 2 to secure the victory but they will not feel happy with their effort, considering they had the possession and territory advantage for most of the game.
