Peter de Villiers in trouble over racist remarks

The Springbok coach Peter de Villiers might be in trouble for racist remarks made by him last weekend after the possible exstence of a sexual video became public.

“The South African Rugby Union (SARU) confirmed on Thursday that SARU president Oregan Hoskins had spoken to De Villiers about some of the Bok coach’s statements. De Villiers claimed the allegations that he had been videotaped engaging in a sex act in public was a “smear campaign” to oust him, South Africa’s first black Springbok coach. The Bok coach even threatened  to “give the [Bok] job back to the whites” and denied categorically that he was involved in any sexual impropriety.”

The coversation between Hoskins and De Villiers took place over the phone and Hoskins will telephonically brief the SARU management committee on his conversations with Mr de Villiers regarding certain statements Mr de Villiers made in the wake of the reports that the Springbok coach had been the victim of a fake blackmail plot.

Another member of the SARU executive committee, Hein Mentz, also told Die Burger that De Villiers’ statements are on the agenda.

“We are very sensitive in regards to matters such as transformation and related statements. The question is whether he was quoted correctly. It is a sensitive matter that needs to be addressed,” Mentz told the newspaper.

It doesn’t matter who the bok couch is, that person will always have someone that is trying to pull the rug from nder him. I say, leave the man alone. This was the same cenario when Jake took over. No one liked him and in the end he brought back the world cup. Remember…Pieter dV has already been rapped over tha=e nuckles because he did not put kwota players in. So, Pieter you have my support!!!

    Please keep the “Springbok emblem”!

Everywhere there is interference from goverment, their outcome is a failure, that is why Bafana Bafana is 58 th on the world ranking, what a disgrace! They will make a statement in the paper that the majority so called “whites” want to see them fail, untrue, they will make themselves the laughing stock of sport. After all the money that is pumped into the 2010 cup, and they don’t even qualify! Make their national emblem a Springbok, and they will start winning! Transformation, transformation! everybody cries, what’s wrong in the bafana team? There is no bigger lie than the statement of the “bok” devides the country, what happened in ‘95. Surely the Banana Banana will not do the same.

everywhere on the rugby stadiums the outcry is: Say no to racism, what happens with all the farmers being killed, and we as rugby supporters must pay the penalty! Senior management must take stand, and anything else outside the borders of rugby, must stay out of rugby, that includes Stofilus!if there is no one able to do the job, please contact Louis Luyt to show them how it is done. We are fedup of politician running the sports arena, that includes the ANC youth!

It’s a pity to see so little people demonstrating in front of the gates regarding the bok emblem on the news last night, a lot talk and little do!!. To be honest, it’s only an emblem, but what passion lies behind that “emblem”! I’ve seen in our local news paper about young players, and here I must state, black players, highschool, that actually tattooed a bok on their arm, and said:” This is what I want to adchieve, to pull a Bok jersey over my head, not a Protea”.
    Cheers!
